The rendering times for different users vary in length on the same system. What options are there to fix this?
Problem
The rendering process varies in length for different users, even though they are using the same system. This problem might occur when rendering with OSPRay.
Background
The differences in rendering times are often due to programs running in the background. This can vary for each user, as they may be demanding more or less of the operating system at one time.
Differences in rendering times can also be attributed to having the Windows option Run Program in Compatibility Mode enabled.
Solution
Check to see if this setting (for the system itself) is enabled.
- Open the Windows Context Menu by right clicking on the pCon.planner icon on your desktop. Select the menu item Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab.
- Check to see if the option Run this Program in Compatibility Mode for is enabled.
- If this is the case, disable this setting.
