Comments are a means of communication between people who need to exchange notes about the same design while working on it. The example in the left-hand column illustrates a possible use case.
Person A has made a design and sends it to person B. As B is not happy with a particular detail, he or she adds a Comment to the design explaining the issue.
When person A gets the design back from person B, A can write a Comment in response to that of B and return the design to B. This procedure can be continued ad infinitum.
As the left-hand illustration shows, the Comment Editor will show the latest entries on top. Older entries are lower down.

Creating comments
This is how to make a Comment.

1.Click on the Comment button in the Objects group on the Insert tab. 2.Click in the design to fix the position for the Comment. Comments will be shown graphically in the design, as the illustration on the left shows, in the form of a pin. 3.The Comment Editor will open after a click on the pin. This is where to make the actual remarks. |
The number of comments in a design is basically unlimited.
The comments editor
Whenever you make a Comment or edit one, the Comment Editor will open. The screenshot below shows the functions available for use.,

Moving, editing, marking and deleting
Comments which are still open are shown on a design with red pins, and those which are closed with green pins. The screenshot below shows a design containing two closed and three open comments.
Moving
Click on the pin with the left-hand mouse button, holding it down briefly and then dragging the mouse. To fix the position click again. Alternatively, use the context menu.

Editing
Either double-click on the relevant pin to edit the Comment or move the mouse over it and then select the Edit item from the context menu. The Comment Editor will now open.
Marking (changing status of a Comment)
To reopen up a closed comment or to close an open comment move the cursor over the relevant pin and select the Mark as closed or Mark as open item from the context menu.
Deleting
Move the mouse over the pin to be deleted and select the Delete item from the context menu.
