Change rendering of articles in design

Whatever the default settings, the rendering of articles can be changed. In the Article group on the Configurator tab there are three buttons provided for this: Display 2D, Display 3D and Display 2D and 3D.
To change the rendering of an article, select it and then click on whichever of the three buttons you desire.

Article creation default settings

The symbol circled in red on the Configurator tab in the Configurator group takes you to the rendering settings for articles.
When you have clicked on it, a dialog with three tabs will open.

There are two types of setting you can make on the Article tab.
On the one hand, you can set articles newly inserted into pCon.planner to be rendered by default as 2D, 3D or 2D and 3D.
On the other hand, you can set how to display properties in the Property Editor (Text only, Key only, Key and Text).
Language

The language setting options for articles are to be found by clicking on the symbol on the Configurator tab in the Configurator group (circled in red on the upper screenshot) and then selecting the second tab, Languages. Here you will find Article Languages and you can set your first and second choices for the language in which the properties of articles are to appear in the Property Editor. If the first choice of language is not available, the program will show the second.

Catalogs settings
Catalog window display

There are two options for the management of the OFML Catalog window. They are to be found by clicking on the symbol on the Insert tab in the Objects group (circled in red in the screenshot on the left). The choice is between keeping the Catalog window on display in the foreground and having it return after an object has been inserted. The setting will also apply to the pCon.catalog.
Define default catalog

The symbol circled in red on the Configurator tab in the Configurator group in the upper screenshot takes you to the default settings for catalogs. This is where to define which Catalog is to appear when you click on the OFML catalog button.
This setting saves you navigation time in instances where you are using the data from the same Catalog all the time for a certain project.
