Replace Objects
The Replace feature can be found under the Edit tab. With this tool, you can replace selected objects in the plan with others.
Prerequisite: The object you would like to use to replace the selected object must appear in the plan at least once.
The Replace tool can be used as follows:
1.Select all objects in the plan that you would like to replace.
2.Switch to the Edit tab and click Replace.
3.Click on the object in the plan that should function as the replacement for the selected objects.
4.The selected objects will be replaced with the new object.
Replacing Objects with Reference Copies
1.Select all objects in the plan that you would like to replace.
2.Switch to the Edit tab and click Replace.
3.Right click to open the Context Menu. Select Create Reference Copies.
4.Click on the object in the plan that should function as the replacement for the selected objects.
5.The selected objects will be replaced with the new object.
Note: The Replace feature does only work outside of groups: objects inside (closed as well as opened) groups cannot be exchanged by means of Replace. This means that all the instances of an article that are not grouped together with other objects will be replaced. All identical articles located within groups remain unchanged. |
