Problem

You inserted an object, such as a drawing element or a piece of furniture, into your plan. When you then change to a different view, you notice that the object is not at the desired location.

Background

It is likely the your object was inserted to a different point in the plan than intended. In the Top view, pCon.planner uses the zero layer as insertion layer by default.

Depending on the view in which you inserted the object, it may be located before or after the desired insertion layer. This is, for example, the case with the orthographic view.

Solution

  • Check if the snap modes are enabled.
  • Use the multi-window view when inserting objects. This way you can be sure the object is correctly snapping to all the axes of the plan.
  • When inserting, change to a different view.
  • If you would like to use the height of the other objects when in Top view, open the context menu when inserting the object, and click Use height of snapped objects.
