Backup files ensure that your plans are not lost should pCon.planner crash.

pCon.planner automatically creates a backup file for your current plan – as long as you haven’t disabled this option in the Program Settings. We recommend leaving the automatic creation of backup files enabled.

Why are the input values for wall parameters so large in some cases?

After inputting values for a wall’s Height and Thickness parameters, the values are not taken into account when the wall is created. Instead of the entered values, extremely large numbers appear in the input field and are then used when the wall is drawn.

The reason for this error is usually caused by using the same separators for both decimal points and digit groups. Generally, each separator is different. In Germany, the comma serves as the separator for decimal points, e.g. for the value 123,45. Digit groups are separated from one another using points, e.g. for larges numbers such as 1.234.567.

The Settings for the program will remain persistent. They will be retained even after closing out of and reopening pCon.planner. They also have an effect when you create a new plan or open an existing one.

The Document Properties refer to the currently loaded plan. They are saved together with the plan and are then available the next time it is opened. You can also set different Document Properties for other plans simultaneously.
