Problem
When double clicking on a DWG file, the file opens with another program, instead of pCon.planner.

Solution
The most common cause of this problem is a missing file link.

For Windows 10, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel. You can do this, for example, by typing Control Panel in the search bar on the taskbar.
  2. KlickProgram.
  3. Select Make a file type always open in a specific program.
  4. Select .dwg from the list and double click on the file type.
  5. In the opened window, click on More Apps.
  6. Select pCon.planner from the list.

For Windows 7, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the Windows Start Menu and select Default Programs.
  2. Click on the option File Type or Associate a file type or protocol with a program
  3. Once a list of options opens, select the file type *.dwg.
  4. Next, click the Change Program button.
  5. Choose pCon.planner from the suggested list of programs. If you have several versions of pCon.planner installed, click the Browse button and choose the appropriate planner.exe from the pCon.planner installation directory.

The default path for pCon.planner installation is as follows:

C:\Program Files (x86)\EasternGraphics\pCon.planner [EDITION]\bin\planner.exe

Note
If you have an Autodesk® AutoCAD® product installed on your system and previously linked the DWG file format to this program, it may not be possible to change this shortcut. Any changes in program allocation made by the user will automatically be reversed by the AutoCAD software.
